19th Century Tavern Settle
English, circa 1830
Elm or Oak frame and pine back.
These were commonplace in pubs and taverns, the wingback shape keeping the draught out.
This was used in a pub in Gloucester on a daily basis until recently so full of character and authentic wear and tear.
